Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 October 2026
Daykit makes simple apps for families. This page explains what personal data we collect through this website (daykitapps.com), why, and what your rights are. We try to collect as little as possible.
1. Who is responsible
The person responsible for your data (the "data controller") is Anjum Pasha, operating Daykit from Belgium. You can contact us at contact@daykitapps.com.
2. What we collect and why
Email list signup. When you join the list, we collect your email address and the app you said you're interested in, together with the date and time you signed up.
We use this only to send you a confirmation and a short note when our apps launch or have important news. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), which you give by submitting the form.
We do not ask for your name, address, phone number or any payment details on this website.
3. Technical data
Like every website, our hosting provider automatically records technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in server logs. This is used to keep the site secure and working properly.
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not run analytics tools at the moment. If that changes, we will update this page and ask for your consent where required.
4. Fonts from Google
Our pages load a font (Nunito) from Google Fonts. When your browser loads it, your IP address is sent to Google so the font can be delivered. We do not receive any personal data from this.
5. Who we share data with
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. We only use service providers needed to run the site:
- Hostinger, which hosts this website, stores our files and email list, and delivers our emails.
- Google, for the font described above.
These providers act on our behalf and are bound by data protection rules. Where data is processed outside the European Economic Area, this is done under the safeguards required by GDPR.
6. How long we keep your data
We keep your email address until you ask us to remove it or until we stop running the list, whichever comes first. Server logs are kept for a short period by our hosting provider.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted;
- restrict or object to how we use your data;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what was done before.
To use any of these rights, or to be removed from the list, simply email contact@daykitapps.com. We will reply within one month.
If you feel we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données) at www.dataprotectionauthority.be, or to the authority in your own country.
8. Children
This website is meant for parents and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through it, and you should be 16 or older to join the email list.
Some of our apps, such as Daybright, are used by families and children. Each app has its own privacy information that explains what that app stores and how it protects it.
9. Security
The email list is stored on our hosting account in a folder that is not publicly accessible, and access to the account is protected. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
11. Contact
